About

There are millions of cards available today. Very few feel usable in real life.

Most are too cutesy. Too sentimental. Too gilded. Too cringey to send without an explanation or an apology.

Paper & Letters was created for people who still believe in sending a card but struggle to find one they can stand behind for more than a moment.

Our goal is simple: to make the act of writing and sending cards feel normal and correct.

We create cards you'll actually use - and want to keep - from botanical and cartographic studies drawn from archival plates and field notes. Alongside are correspondence cards that say what they mean (and nothing more).

The image-forward card designs occupy a deliberate position between stationery and art print. It is functional printed matter: enduring imagery, color palettes with emotional range, and quality paper made to live comfortably on a desk, in a drawer, or on your wall.

Nothing is seasonal. Nothing is ironic. Just paper, printed well and ready to send when you need it. However, for certain subjects, we also offer large format studies that allow for opportunities to observe certain aspects in greater detail.

Correspondence with friends and loved ones is timeless - your cards should be too.
